Victoria is originally from Venezuela and has a background in visual arts and design. She was granted a U.S. visa for individuals with extraordinary ability in the arts, and she believes the sensitivity and creative thinking she developed through the arts have become an important foundation for her work in education. More than ten years ago, Victoria began teaching at an IB school back in Venezuela, where she taught Creative Processes for a few years. That experience shaped her approach to learning and introduced her to the IB philosophy early in her career. Working at ISLA is especially meaningful to Victoria because it allows her to be part of the community where her daughter is growing and learning, while contributing to a school that reflects her family’s values. Minnesota is now home for Victoria and her family. Here, she has built a wonderful community and discovered a love for biking, camping, and reading.
