Paint The Town Red

Come join our marvelous LAs as we grab our paintbrushes and paint the town red! This class will explore different styles of painting such as modernism, expression, abstract, impressionism, surrealism, cubism and maybe even pop-art.  We will experiment with different painting techniques to discover fun ways to express our inner artist. We will finish our time together by exhibiting our creations in a colorful mural of who we are! Come paint with us!

When: Monday afternoons 4:00-5:00 pm, January 9-March 27, no class January 16 and February 20

Taekwondo

Do you want to build your confidence, ability to focus, learn discipline all while having fun moving your body?  Then this class is where you want to be! Taekwondo is a martial art that helps students develop skills such as the ability to pay attention to what is relevant and ignore distractions, to learn the value of doing what is right, even when no one is watching and so much more! This class will be led by our fabulous LA Ainoa who has been practicing Taekwondo since she was four years old and has achieved a black belt. There will be an open observation class at the end of this session so families can see all the great things students will have learned.

Drawing for Aspiring Artists

These ten sessions will focus on different drawing techniques. We’ll begin with the basics of drawing and experiment with different mediums like crayons, colored pencils, markers, and chalk. We’ll explore realism, by drawing the human anatomy, learning to draw their favorite cartoons from a technical perspective, even character creation. We will help students develop their inner artist by exploring what they are passionate about and teaching them the skills to make images come to life. We encourage all levels of drawing skills to join us.

Chess Club – Twin Cities Chess Club

This class begins on Thursday, January 12 and goes through March 30 (no class February 16). Want to amaze your friends and impress your opponents? Want to increase your IQ while having fun playing chess and compete for various prizes? Learn from Twin Cities Chess Club instructors who have years of experience. Competitive Chess tournaments are scheduled once a year and students can play for real chess trophies! All levels are welcome.
