Molly is thrilled to lead International Spanish Language Academy as the Executive Director. Her lifelong passion for creating innovative learning opportunities began early, with experiences ranging from running a Kiddie Kamp at her family home, to tutoring and leading environmental education classes during her college years. Molly graduated from Carleton College with degrees in American Studies, Educational Studies, and a Social Studies teaching license. Her international experiences include teaching in Guatemala City and Barcelona, Spain, which enriched her global perspective on education. In 2013, Molly earned a Master of Arts in Literacy Education from Hamline University, further deepening her expertise. She pursued additional professional development by obtaining her Principal License from Saint Mary's University in 2021 as a pandemic hobby. Her career began in special education, where she served as a teacher and case manager for elementary and middle school students at a St. Paul charter school. For the past 16 years, Molly has been an integral part of Partnership Academy, a PreK-8th grade charter school in Richfield, MN, which serves a predominantly Latin@ population. Her roles there have spanned teaching, mentoring, program coordination, grant writing, and most recently, serving as the school principal. Molly’s professional interests lie in structured literacy, culturally responsive teaching, and multi-tiered systems of support. She is dedicated to matching learners with the appropriate supports through thoughtful assessment, differentiated planning, and inclusive programming. Above all, Molly values building community and fostering strong communication to create an environment where students, staff, and families experience safety, belonging, and joy, which she believes leads to enhanced academic and social outcomes that all learners deserve. Outside of her professional endeavors, Molly enjoys traveling, crafting, and spending time outdoors with her husband, Merlin, and their children, Elinora and Griffin.
