Sra. Adams studied Education and Social Studies and received her teaching license from Hamline University. These studies included a semester in Spain, where she learned the culture and language through her own immersion experience. She has had opportunities to travel to many other countries in Europe, Central America, and even to China. While she loves to travel abroad, she also greatly enjoys exploring her home state by biking, camping, canoeing, and hiking through the wilderness with her husband, Chris and daughters, Amelia and Nina. She has taught 3rd grade and 5th grade at ISLA, beginning in 2008. She has loved working in such a caring and collaborative community and has a passion for literacy, equity and mindfulness, which she strives to share with her students, as well.
