Lunches for ISLA Families

Starting March 18-April 3, parents can visit any of the six elementary schools in the Hopkins District from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The bagged meal option will include a lunch and next-day breakfast. Please note: This is a pick-up location only. Students will not be able to eat meals inside school per the guidelines provided by the CDC and the Minnesota Department of Health regarding social distancing.

Students may pick up meals on their own and parents may pick up meals for their children.

Bus stop meal drop off for students who don’t live close to an elementary school:

Hopkins transportation department will route school buses to reach students that would otherwise be unable to walk to an elementary school in the Hopkins District. The link below will help you find a stop close to your home. You may also call Hopkins transportation at 952-988-4116 to find the closest stop.

Please arrive 5 minutes before the time listed to obtain a lunch/breakfast bag.

Food Baskets for ISLA Familes

On Monday, March 23rd - 25th, we will start collecting non-perishable food items for pick up by our families in need. If you would like to donate, there will be bins/boxes for drop off in the ISLA lobby. Families can pick up these items on Thursday, March 26th in the ISLA lobby. Here are a list of items needed:

  • Breakfast cereal (including oatmeal)
  • Rice
  • Beans
  • Canned meats (chicken, tuna, ham)
  • Canned fruit (in juice)
  • Canned vegetables
  • Soup (all kinds)
  • Boxed meals
  • Pasta
  • Canned tomatoes (sauce, paste, diced, etc)
  • Bottled or canned juice

Unfortunately, we cannot accept fresh food items, milk, eggs, cheese or any item that is perishable.
