It is time to wear warm jackets, hats, mittens, boots and snow pants. Students go outside every day for recess unless it is raining or the outside air temperature is less than 0º or the wind chill is -10º or below. Exercise and physical activity helps children release their muscle tension after several hours in school and contributes to overall wellness, including cardiovascular and muscular strength and endurance. Recess also provides an opportunity for students to play and relax outdoors and to socialize.
Are you looking for another fun way to see what your child is doing at school and also provide hands on support? Consider signing up to help during Exploration classes. You will be assisting the students participate in the projects and other hands on activities that Sra. Maldonado has set up. The sign up has identified what grade is meeting on what day, with 2 volunteers needed per day for grades K-2, and 1 volunteer needed per day for grades 3-6. Thank you for your consideration and continued support of ISLA!
