Assembly at ISLA

We had a beautiful assembly on Friday, January 9th with song, dance, student leadership, and lots of joy. Our hope for the future lies in each of your babies and we are grateful that you entrust them to us.

After School Pickup Procedures (Aventuras, Extracurriculars, El Nido)

Hello families,

We are consistently reviewing and updating our processes for security. Our pick-up process for 4:00-5:15pm remains the same, routing through the Main Office.

‍Starting January 13, we will have all El Nido, Aventuras, and Extracurricular pick-ups from 5:15 - 6:00pm filter through the double glass doors closer to the preschool and kindergarten rooms. We will have a staff member there visually checking each parent/family member to ensure they are known in our program and will ask for ID if it is an unknown or new person. The Cafeteria door will remain locked, and if you choose to exit through this door, we ask that you do not allow entrance through this door. Based on how this process goes, we may adjust further.

We appreciate your insight and support as we work hard to keep everyone safe!

No School Friday, January 16 and Monday, January 19

Please note that there will be no school for students on Friday, January 16, due to staff development.

If you need care on this day, please register through the ISLA website by navigating to the Our School tab and selecting Aventuras Extended Day Care.

Additionally, there will be no school on Monday, January 19, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Please note that no childcare will be available on Monday.

Join the Fiesta! Volunteers Needed for our Annual Fiesta de la Primavera!

Fiesta de la Primavera is the PTO's biggest fundraiser of the year, and we need our School community to help bring it to life!

This year, our annual (Adults Only) Gala will take place on Saturday, March 14, 2026! We are looking for volunteers to support planning, sourcing, and day-of execution. Whether you have time to lead a role, help with securing sponsors and donations, or lend a hand the day of the event, your involvement makes a meaningful impact for our school.

We need support in a variety of areas, including:

• Fiesta Co-Chair (or 2!)
• Committee leads
• Event planning and coordination
• Donation and auction sourcing
• Decor and guest experience
• Set up, event-day help, and tear down

Each role will have clear responsibilities, timelines, and support from the planning team, so you know exactly what needs to be done and how you can help! If you're interested in volunteering, please use the signup we have attached. If your up for helping lead a Committee, please let is know by adding a note to your sign up!

There are also opportunities to help sponsor part of the event (photobooth, center pieces, programs, games, etc.) If you would like to contribute or if you are unable to help volunteer your time, Please email fiesta@isla.school if you would like to contribute.
