Spring is Here?                 

Until we are sure that spring has arrived and it is no longer muddy, please continue to send your child’s winter gear to school.  Even on warm days this gear protects their clothing.

Spring Programs

• Friday, May 4 – 2nd grade, 10am 
• Tuesday, May 8 – 3rd & 4th grade, 10am 
• Thursday, May 10 – 6th grade, 6:30pm 
• Wednesday, May 16 – 1st grade, 10am 
• Thursday, May 17 – 5th grade, 6:30pm
• Friday, May 18 – Kinder program and graduation, 9:30am

Kindergarten Round-up and New Student Orientation

Incoming kindergarten students and new incoming students will be welcomed at the kindergarten and new student orientation/round-up.  It will be held on Thursday, April 19th at 6:30 pm.  This is a time for families of incoming students to complete their registration forms, ride the school bus and kindergarten students will have time with the kindergarten teachers.

Late Start     

Thursday, April 19th is ISLA’s next late start. Buses and school will start 2 hours late. If you need child care for this day, register online at http://misamigosimmersion.com/reg-onoccasion.html. They need at least 24 hours to process requests for care.

Looking for 2018-2019 Language Ambassadors (LAs) Host Families!

Want to know more about the LA program, and what is expected of a host family?

This school year is not yet over and we still have lots of time to enjoy our current LAs! But, can you believe that planning for the 2018-19 LA program has already begun?! The applicants are being interviewed and the search for next year Host Families is underway. Hosting is an unbelievable opportunity to expose your children and family to the Spanish language and culture – one that will gift your family with a lasting friendship and close bond to another country, while possibly improving everyone’s Spanish!

ISLA Board Meeting Date Change

The date for the April ISLA Board meeting has changed from Aprl 17th to April 24th.  The meeting will still be held at 6:30 pm in the ISLA Library.  Please note this change on your calendar.
