Plans for MEA? What better activity to keep the kids busy than to encourage them to make a silly video or dress up and visit neighbors and raise some money for ISLA!? This is the last week to participate in our Obstajog campaign. Please consider supporting our school in this important way.

Don’t forget about our FUN Obstajog student incentives? Classes can win a uniform-free day if they hit 80% participation! We also will have 30 awesome gift bags! All participating students will be entered into a drawing to win a gift bag. Thank you to Milo’s Macarons and the Edina Soccer Association for donating to our gift bags.

Please consider signing up to monitor the Obstajog course on Friday, October 27th or Saturday, October 28th at Dia de los Muertos, AND remember to return your envelopes next week to the classroom teachers or the office and ensure your student’s name and teacher are listed on the envelope.

Breakfast/Lunch Ordering Window Open!

The window to order breakfast and lunch for November is open until Monday, October 23rd at 11pm since we have to submit our order the next day.

Please make sure to order for the whole month of November or preferred days before submitting it so we can see your child in the breakfast/lunch list for reporting purposes.

NOTE: After the 23rd the system won't be open again so please make sure to order and that everything (your submission) went through correctly.

Important Notes:

1. There's an option for "only milk" for children that bring lunch from home.

2. There's another option to select the star right next to words "breakfast", "lunch", "vegetarian", "allergen" & "milk" to select the whole month instead of selecting them day by day. You will be seeing two different tabs for November. You have to go through both. We needed to do it that way to be able to have a better report for the State.

3. Menus are attached. Take a look at them.

4. For allergens, your child would need a Doctor's statement so he/she can qualify for this meal. If we don't have one in his/her file, she/he will get a regular breakfast/lunch.

Dia De Los Muertos:  Mark your calendars to come celebrate with the ISLA community on 10/28 from 11am–2pm. Get some facepaint done by our lovely LAs, dancing, crafting, food and other fun activities (plus the Obstajob will be available for use too)!!
