Emily Smith

Administrative Assistant

ISLA community, THANK YOU so much! We are incredibly humbled by your generosity.  ISLA is truly special and amazing!  This has been a difficult past two years and yet we came together and so many got involved to show support of our school and build our community.

This GTMD we have raised $25,000 and achieved a 53% rate of participation across the school!  It has been so exciting to see the outpouring of support to get us there.  It has been an especially close contest across our classrooms in rate of participation and we want to offer a last chance to participate, especially as we’ve had a number of students out the past couple of weeks for quarantine.   Therefore, we are extending the deadline through the weekend to Monday morning.

Prize structure - the 3 classrooms who have the highest participation rate in the campaign will win a prize! Any class that achieves 100% participation automatically wins the 1st place prize!

  • 1st place – Classroom party of the teacher’s choice and non-uniform day!!!
  • 2nd place – Special treat for the class and non-uniform day!
  • 3rd place – Non-uniform day!

Here are the latest participation rates by classroom:

If you haven’t had a chance, please consider donating ANY amount through ANY of these methods. Donations in any amount count towards participation (even as little as $.01!)..

  • Online donation on the Givemn.org ISLA PTO site*  https://www.givemn.org/organization/Islapto
  • Donation to Venmo @ISLA-PTO
  • Bring a check or cash to Emily at the school office made out to ISLA PTO. If cash, place in an envelope with your student’s name and classroom (for participation credit)

*If you made an anonymous donation online, please email PTOFundraising@Isla.school and simply note you made an anonymous donation so we can give participation credit to your child’s classroom.

THANK YOU, we greatly appreciate your support!!

Help Improve the Lives of ISLA Faculty and Staff!

The ISLA Human Resource Committee is currently recruiting members, and we'd love to have you join us! The H.R. Committee is an advisory committee to the ISLA Board of Directors, made up of parents, community volunteers, ISLA faculty, and staff members.  We provide recommendations, guidance, assistance, and support to the Board and the ISLA administration with respect to a variety of human resources matters. As a part of this Committee, you have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of the amazing faculty and staff of ISLA.  We regularly solicit employee feedback and recommend actions to increase employee engagement and satisfaction, including in the areas of employee benefits and compensation.

Come join our team!  No experience is necessary, but human resource or employment law experience would be particularly appreciated. If you are interested, please contact Dana Provus, the current H.R. Committee Chair, at dprovus@isla.school.

Please join us on Saturday, December 11th for our Barnes & Noble Bookfair at Ridgehaven Mall (next to the Ridgedale Target)!

  • Help our teachers fulfill their classroom wish lists
  • Enjoy special readings done by teachers and students
  • Wear ISLA apparel and sign in upon arrival to earn a uniform-free day
  • Support ISLA with each dollar spent

Can't make it in person? Visit BN.COM/bookfairs to support us online from 12/11 until 12/16.
