Final Days for Spirit Store Orders

The Spirit Store will close on Sunday November 3rd.

What to do if you didn’t purchase shirts during the back to school or fall order windows and would like one now?

• Check the uniform exchange.  It will next be out at the November 12th PTO community meeting.
• Make a request on the ISLA families Facebook page to see if anyone has one to borrow or that their student has outgrown.

Fall Conference Meals

Please join the PTO to supply ISLA teachers and staff with dinner on Monday, November 4 and lunch on Tuesday, November 5. This is your opportunity to let them know their long hours and sincere dedication are greatly appreciated!! Please select an item or two that you can bring. There are approx. 40 teachers/staff. Times reflect requested drop off times each day. Items should be brought directly to the staff lounge. Thank you!!

Lunch Program in need of Substitute Volunteers

Being an ISLA lunch substitute is a great way to help out on an ad hoc basis. The ISLA Lunch program is supported by 2 scheduled parent volunteers each day. At times, scheduled volunteers can’t make it and need a sub. That's where you can help! Sometimes dates are known in advance and sometimes it is last minute due to illness. Requests are sent out by email to the sub list as spots open. ‍Vision and Hearing Screening (9 spots open - across several days)

Volunteers Needed for Short and Easy Fiesta Project

By Nov. 15, we are looking to update the business contact information for the businesses that often donate to the ISLA Fiesta de la Primavera auction. We would like to transition to e-mail or online requests (if the company has one) rather than in-person and mailed requests. Can you donate an hour to help us with a super easy task? 

First, visit the Sign up Genius to choose a batch of 10-11 businesses to research. 

Then, visit each company's website and update the Business Donations Google Doc with updated contact information like email addresses, online form web address, contact names, etc.

Lost & Found Clothing Available for Reuniting during Fall Conferences

We'd love to see lost items reunite with their families! Tables will be set out with Lost and Found during Fall Conference week. All items remaining after conferences will be donated to ISLA's uniform exchange or a local clothing organization.

Sponsorship Opportunity

The Fiesta de la Primavera is seeking sponsorship partners! Ask your contacts now as Fiesta planning is well underway! Our dream goal is to have all fiesta expenses covered by business sponsorships this year, so that all monies raised from the Fiesta go directly to enhancing the ISLA students' educational experience through the LA Program.

• ‍The ask: Ask your company and contacts if they will sponsor the ISLA PTO Fiesta de la Primavera! There are different levels of sponsorship and sponsors are listed in our promotional and program materials.  Send them the ISLA PTO Sponsorship & Donation Request form, or complete the forms at your company and let the Fiesta committee know of the sponsorship commitment. (Tax ID information is included at the bottom of donation form.) Ask now as Fiesta planning is well underway; however, if they say no, try again at the start of the 2020 calendar year as they may have more funding available.
