Marly Wood was born in Bucaramanga, Colombia. While in Colombia she earned a degree in Child Psychology and Pedagogy and worked in education as a tutor teaching people in the rural areas. Later she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education with an emphasis in Natural and Environmental Science from the University of Pamplona in Colombia. Marly immigrated to the United States in 2014 and completed Hamline University's second licensure program in Elementary Education. Marly is starting her sixth year with ISLA and fourth year teaching 3rd grade. She enjoys traveling, listening to music, dancing and cooking typical Colombian dishes. She has always been very passionate about teaching, loves children and is happy to belong to the wonderful community of ISLA.
