To ensure the safety of staff, students and the community, ISLA will be following the COVID-19 recommendations made by the CDC/MDH, with some requirements due an ISLA School Board policy.
Note: These guidelines are subject to change as the COVID-19 situation evolves. As situations arise during the school year, the guidelines recommended by the CDC and MDH will be consulted for the most up-to-date information. Recommendations will be made to ISLA staff and families based on the specific situation and how it fits in with the current guidelines. If CDC or MDH guidelines are updated, these same updates will apply to operations at ISLA.
Check the Infectious Disease Dashboard for the latest data on COVID-19 and Respiratory Viruses within the ISLA community.
We will be monitoring the CDC COVID-19 Community Levels on a weekly basis to determine whether face coverings will be optional or required at ISLA and on the school buses for the following week of school.
The decision to require face coverings for all staff, students, volunteers, and visitors may also be made at the discretion of the Executive Director and/or ISLA's COVID-19 Coordinator.

This policy applies to all ISLA workers, including regular employees, temporary workers, independent contractors, ambassadors, Amity interns, and volunteers.
All workers must show proof of vaccination before coming into the workplace. Compliance with this policy is subject to reasonable accommodation requests. Please see the Staff Mandatory Vaccination Policy for more information:
